Mobile phones (in England): HELP!

(Sorry if even my questions don’t make sense. i am completely sh*t at this stuff.)

Can someone explain to me how this works? I want to get an android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3), but I don’t want to get a contract or whatever because I hardly make any calls. I have pay as you go right now, but I don’t have internet on my phone.

So when I get the new one, if i don’t have a contract, can I use internet on it at all? I heard there are ‘free wi-fi’ spots. How does that work? Can I connect to the wireless broadband i have at home (BT)?

  1. writerelated answered: If you get an unlocked GS3 you will be able to place your prepaid Sim Card into the phone. You can connect to free hot spots and at home.
