I can’t seem to write the word ‘both’ without putting an ‘e’ on the end…

I think I hear the long ‘o’ in my head and think of ‘th’ as a single letter, so out comes the ‘e’. I ALWAYS, without exception, write that annoying, superfluous ‘e’ and then have to cross it out.
