I know it’s a pathetic cliche, but…

I wish I was dead.

I don’t even know how to deal with this anymore and it just never stops.

Help: CFS/Fibro problem?

I don’t know if this is caused by my CFS/fibro, but recently (for about two months) I’ve had this weird feeling sort of in my throat and eyes.

You know when you’re trying not to cry and it makes your throat get that weird kind of sore feeling and your eyes feel like you’re holding back tears? Well, I have that for increasingly long periods. And I am not upset about anything.

It is starting to drive me crazy. It’s hard to even concentrate.

Does anyone else get that or have ANY idea what it could be??

So sick of having to sleep every single afternoon again. I feel like I am kind of dead because I’m not even conscious for so much of my life…

Going out tomorrow. First ‘outing’ all sumer. Ridiculously excited. Woot woot!!!

I WILL NOT use the wheelchair. I just want to be free since this is the only realy sunny day for ages and the only ‘holiday’ all year.

Going to a village I love with a tiny shopping street and quaint little shops and coffee shops and just WOOHOO!!!

Does anyone get occasional throat ‘spasms’ that make them stutter?

Every now and then, it’s like my vocal cords spasm and an involuntary puff of air goes past them and makes a vocal sound that sounds like a word. It’s like my throat makes me ‘speak’ involuntarily and the sound comes from my throat instead of my mouth.

It makes me self-conscious because I don’t know when it will happen. It’s bad enough if I’m speaking, because it sounds like a stutter, but when I wasn’t even talking in the first place, I sound like I have a vocal tic.

It happens most if I’m tense. Does anyone know why or have a similar experience??

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a severe, complex, acquired illness with numerous symptoms related mainly to the dysfunction of the brain, gastro-intestinal, immune, endocrine and cardiac systems. ME has been classified as a neurological disorder in the World Health Organisation’s International Classification of Diseases

For anyone who thinks CFS is in your head…

Try walking around with a blood pressure of 80 over 50 and let’s see how bouncy and fit YOU feel.

For anyone living under a rock who still thinks M.E. is not a serious illness…

…M.E. was, until recently, called ‘atypical polio’. Only it’s name has changed. It remains a type of polio. Read more —>
